THE MIXED SINGING CHOIR „RIJEKA – SEMPRE ALLEGRO“ was founded on Saint Cecilia Day (22.11.2014.) with purpose of gathering music lovers and choral singing enthusiasts. The choir was founded by its current conductor Helga Dukarić Dangubić, professor adviser and choirmaster, Maestra mentor of the Croatian Choral Directors Association.
The choir achieved great results performing on 8 international competitions in a very short time of its existence. The choir had its international debut at the FAKS festival in Rovinj in May 2015. The choir had quality collaborations with HGD “Zvijezda Danica” from Kraljevica, MPZ “Ina” from Zagreb, GMH “Vardar” from Skopje, Coro “Giovani Fabrianesi” from Fabriano (Italy), choir “Coral Cantemus” from Uruguay and choir “Felicita” from Germany. In September 2019, the choir participates at the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the Šibenik singing society "Kolo" by performing "Carmina Burana". Through its program it nurtures and promotes cultural creativity of this area, local – Rijeka, Istra, Kvarner and overall Croatian heritage, as well as pieces from world choral literature.

The choir is working constantly and efficiently, it is developing fast and achieving remarkable results. The goal and intention of all members is to continue in the same positive direction with further collaborations with other organizations and choirs.

MAESTRA

HELGA DUKARIĆ DANGUBIĆ, professor adviser and choirmaster. Graduated in musical culture at the Faculty of Education in Pula. She is the art director and conductor for the mixed singing choir “Rijeka – Sempre Allegro” and the children’s choir “Kantridska jedra”. On the 1st of April 2016. The Croatian Choral Directors Association rewarded her with the professional title Maestra mentor of the Croatian Choral Directors Association for achieving lasting results of high artistic level.

She has achieved impressive success in the past and she participated in numerous national and international festivals and competitions where she has won silver and gold plaques.

COMPETITIONS AND PRIZES:

• 
  Standing out among the other prizes are two silver and one gold plaque from the national championship Glazbene svečanosti hrvatske mladeži (Musical festivities of the Croatian youth) in Varaždin with a children’s choir “Hreljinski svićurići” in 2008.,2009. and 2010.
• On a national championship in Zadar she won two golds and a bronze with a children’s klapa “Krijesnice” in 2009.,2010. and 2011.
• In 2011. she won a silver cup with “Studentski Vokalni Studio Rijeka” on an international choir championship 22. Concorso Internazionale Di Canto Corale in Verona
• In May 2014. on the international choir championship in folklore singing in Šibenik Adria Cantat she won a silver prize. At the XII. International Competition Chorus Inside Croatia she won a golden cup
• In October 2014. she joined two choirs HGD “Zvijezda Danica” and “Vokalni Studio Rijeka” and at the world choir championship Canta al mar in Spain and won silver in the highest tenth category in folk category and independently wins gold in the pop category with “Vokalni Studio Rijeka”

In November 2014. she founded MPZ “Rijeka – Sempre Allegro”, a choir which achieves prominent performances in a very short time:

• They won silver at the XIX. International Competition Chorus Inside Croatia in Rovinj in August 2015.
• In May 2016. at the international choir championship Adria Cantat they won the silver prize once again. She won another silver at the same competition with HGD “Zvijezda Danica”
• At the XXIII. International Competition Chorus Inside Croatia in Rovinj in August 2016 she won gold with MPZ “Rijeka – Sempre Allegro” and silver with HGD “Zvijezda Danica”
• She once again won gold in the pop category with MPZ “Rijeka – Sempre Allegro” and silver in the folk category with HGD “Zvijezda Danica” at the International Choral Competition “Aurora Cantat” in Karlovac in May 2017.
• At the XXIX. International Competition Chorus Inside Croatia in Rovinj in September 2017. she once again won gold with MPZ “Rijeka – Sempre Allegro”
• At the international competition “Istria cantat” in January 2018. she won silver with MPZ “Rijeka – Sempre Allegro”
• In September 2018 at the 2nd International Choir Competition “Istramusica” in Poreč she won silver competing with choirs from 12 countries
